Each year the Oklahoma Speaker's Ball Board of Directors designates a charity beneficiary, based on the current Speaker's recommendation.

In 2006, no charity was chosen, because no Ball was held. In 2008, the unexpected resignation of the Speaker just weeks before the Ball resulted in a small shortfall. Discounting those two years, an average of $24,000 per Ball has been rasied for charity.

Since the organization began in 2005, Oklahoma Speaker's Ball, Inc., has blessed eight Oklahoma charities and has raised more than $119,000 for charity through 2011.
