Oklahoma Honor Flights has been chosen as the 2012 charity. It is a recognized 501(c)3 organization affiliated with the Honor Flight Network, Inc. Its mission is to transport Oklahoma veterans to Washington, D.C., to visit those memorials dedicated to honor their service and sacrifices.

Five flights are being planned for 2012. 1) April 18 from Tulsa, 2) May4 from Lawton, 3) June 6 from Oklahoma City, 4) late September/early October from Tulsa, and 5) late October from Oklahoma City. The latter two are not confirmed pending receipt of donor dollars. Their goal is to have at least 100 veterans on each flight. As of December 23rd, 2011, there are 486 veteran applications on their waiting list.
